I caught up with Jose to discuss the pursuit of one of his top goals (no. 2) this year, which is to improve his physical fitness and strength. The specific goal is to complete 10 pull ups by year end. For years Jose has neglected his fitness in many ways and finally decided it was time for a change. Spoiler alert, he’s excelling and inspiring many within the PUSH community as we witness his dedication to progress. I think those outside of the community can benefit greatly from it as well. See the interview (Sept. 18th 2020) below for yourself and get an in depth breakdown of the obstacle he’s overcoming. I encourage you to use the “pull up” as a metaphor for an obstacle in your life that you’re attempting to overcome and approach it with the same tenacity as Jose. The odds are greatly in your favor that you’ll have similar results if you do. Remember, EVERYBODY has to start somewhere. I hope you enjoy.

Update: On November 18th 2020, he completed 8 pull ups. It took 8 months for Jose to do one pull up. Three months later he’s two away from his goal. Progress isn’t linear, it’s exponential if you are consistent and stay the course. It’s just really hard to see it at first.
